About

Coming Autumn 2023

Planning permission for Seaway was granted in October 2020. Turnstone’s current programme includes securing a contractor in early 2022 with an opening in 2023.

The Seaway site is located in central Southend, east of the High Street and close to the Royals Shopping Centre, situated on the A1160 Queensway dual carriageway. The site, which is currently a surface car park, is also close to the sea front and many of Southend’s popular leisure destinations. The site also includes the now demolished Rossi Ice Cream factory and properties on Herbert Grove, and abuts the historic St John the Baptist Church.

The Seaway site is highly accessible by all forms of transport, being just 300m walking distance from the High Street and Travel Centre (bus station). There are numerous bus services available 7 days a week serving the site. Southend Central and Southend Victoria railway stations are both within walking distance.
